Gardasil: Good for Your Health! WARNING: May Cause Death

There are several cases of diseases and deaths susceptible to be related to Gardasil as "side effects". Knowing the link between the vaccine and the way it turned for some persons who got the shot, is it still a good way to protect us against HPV infections and eventual cancer even if the relationship of cause and effect has not been scientifically proved?

This is the main point we have discussed my team and me. We think there is no risk to take with our health. Moreover, there's no risk to take with a vaccine which is still in a kind of "testing stage" and doesn't completely protect immunized patients. In fact, we think this characterisic of the vaccine will only increase the propagation of sexually transmitted infections.

Summary of the discussion in class

In group, we discussed what the best way to reward employees was and we came to the conclusion that the best is to get money rewards and be recognized for your job or else you might think your work is useless and lose motivation. We also debated on if it would be better to give ”unfair” rewards (reward only the best) or reward everyone equally. Well the best thing to do is to reward everyone for their job but not equally so people get something more for their efforts. We talked about the Y Generation, our generation and why is everyone trying to get a great future. We are far different than other generations at work.

The interview with Bob Nelson

Bob Nelson says that our generation would like to have more recognition than to be more paid and according to our group of discussion, it's true that we would like to have more freedom and some days off when we like to than to be more paid. Our bosses already showed some proofs of recognition like offering ice cream, shoes and dinner. We talked also of China's youngest workers who are the workforce today because of the known that they have of techonology. On the other hand, they leave their jobs very easily. So we think that to keep them steady, their bosses should give them more recognition like more days off and less work. That's about what we talked in our discussion.

Discussion summary

Last week, we discuss the interview of Bob Nelson. First of all in our group discussion, I started by asking all student of my groups if they think they should get more recognition when they finish their job at work. My group where split in two opinions. One group did not really care about recognition, all they wanted his getting paid. The other group said they were getting recognition but because everybody getting some it did not felt the same. Our group agreed with the fact that the recognition help the manager to keep his employee more time but that should not be his main tools for keeping them happy.
