Survey on School Performance

In our survey, we wanted to know if the students were doing their best to perform at school. There were 20 students who answered our questionnaire. There weren’t any questions that asked a development, only multiple choices questions. The students answered all the questions.

From our results we can see that about 70% of the students work less than 20 hours per week, which gives them more time to put on homework and sports. Effectively, 70% of the students are practicing sports outside school like: training, hockey and swimming. On the other hand, there were 45% of the students who answered that they were only spending 0-5 hours per week on their homework. The majority (80%) of the students don’t skip any hours of school and 85% study in a quiet room. People are not shy to ask the teacher about what they don’t understand (80%) and they like to do their homework properly to be satisfied of what they’ve done (50%). Finally, in opposition of what we thought, students are motivated to go to school because they enjoy it (70%).

The survey met our goals because we realise that students are doing their best to have good marks, but we thought that the number of hours spent on homework would have been higher. We learned that students are not showing their interest in school, but that they take it more seriously that we can think. In a future survey, we could add questions about marks, averages and cote R to know more about the profile of the student who is answering the questions. We could also add the program in which he’s studying.
